G-Tech Innovation Center Opening, Brookshire

G-Tech Innovation Center

A ribbon has been cut to mark the opening of the G-Tech Innovation Center in Brookshire.  Local Scotsman and owner, Andy Grieve, said “it has been a great honor to be welcomed so warmly by the Mayor, City Council and the Economic Development Corporation.  Brookshire is on the cusp of major growth and we are excited to have joined the community at this critical time”.   G-Tech provides co-working industrial and office space for business startup, incubation, and short-term projects.  It offers various office options, the choice of two equipped workshops and two large training and conference rooms for up to 50 people.  G-Tech plans to further develop the 7-acre site in Brookshire and also has sites in Katy and Pearland for similar facilities.  Grieve added “We established the G-Tech Innovation Center in Katy 5 years ago as a resource for overseas companies moving to the greater Houston area and now also to support the fast-growing Houston entrepreneurial ecosystem, demonstrated earlier this week by the ground breaking of the new Ion innovation hub in midtown, Houston.  Entrepreneurs need to limit their risks in the early stages of their business and that is why we offer flexible space for as little as three months and provide convenient business support services to soften their landing into the challenges of having an industrial facility”.  G-Tech acquired the existing 32,500sf building 6 months ago from West Engineering and has just completed renovations.  It is now also the home of Grieve’s other business, Hampco, designers and manufacturers of custom equipment to the offshore drilling industry.
